Kostanjevica, Kartuzija Pleterje and Otočec

Bus drive to the south-eastern part of Slovenia, along the valley of the deep green Krka river to Kostanjevica, the largest monastic complex in Slovenia, turned into an art gallery keeping the works of some of the leading Slovene painters like Božidar Jakac.
The journey continues to one of the last active carthusian monasteries, Pleterje, safely hidden among vast pear-tree orchards.
Afterwards, visit to an open air museum "Skausen" where the old style of life in Slovenia is presented.
On the way back a short stop at the charming castle of Otočec, built on an island on the river Krka.
