Ptuj-Maribor-Slovenske Konjice
Culture and wine heritage - ancient places of Styria.
A whole day excursion to Ptuj, already in Roman times (Poetovio) an important centre in this part of Europe. Sightseeing in the old part of the town, Roman museum and medieval castle, continued with sightseeing in Maribor, second largest centre of Slovenia, at the foot of the Pohorje mountains, with its old part Lent-quay on the Drava river, (famous water tower and over 400-years old grapevine stock, museums...) and with sightseeing in Slovenske Konjice (charming view from the "golden hill" vineyards to Konjice - Town of wine and roses, and whole Dravinja river valley.
