Škocjan caves and Piran
Further on the road from Postojna to the Adriatic coast are the Caves of Škocjan, listed in the UNESCO's World Heritage.
You can walk through the underground gorge and admire the fantastic lime stone creations. The journey continues to the medieval Mediterranean town of Piran, built by the Venetians.
Piran is a beautifully preserved coastal town with a number of very fine fish restaurants.
